For
those who love staying in open spaces, the countryside of Dolianova reserve
many naturalist routes by foot, by bike and also by
horse. Immerse yourself into the parteollese green mediterranean nature,
that will offer you great intensive emotions. A path route into an enchanting
landscape, even though physically demanding, through the Monte Arrubiu forest,
at the foot of the Monte Cirronis mountain, where you can see and admire
the golf of Cagliari.
Another fascinating destination from the point of view
of the fauna and floral sights, is “Su Garroppu é Nicolo” in
which a legend says that, if somebody picks a Valerian flower on 24th December
at midnight in the center of the lake, it will bring luck and prosperity.
Others interesting path routes are those spread from “Su Cuili é is
Coccusu” towards the internal town of Dolianova. The visit to the water
source is another interesting path, where you can see others arc h e o l
o g i c settlements.
1) The town montains offer many archeoligic settlement.
The first stop for the Nuraghe “Sa dom’ ‘e s’orcu”,
was a check point positioned to control the village countryside.
2) Not very far away you will find “sa mitza ‘e s’ossu”, that was a phoenician religious place, were people use to make ceremony sacrifices to the fire adoration.
3) After you discend on the mountain road, you walk
in an excavated road in the middle of a pinewood, you go through a water
source “sa mitza ‘e s’ossu”, were you can visit
a tomb called “Tombe dei Giganti” (Giants tombs). These tombs
were used in the pre-nuragic period for many religious adorations.
